Sharon Moody Paints Classic Comics From Another Perspective

There’s painting comics and then there’s painting comics. Take artist Sharon Moody’s trompe l’oeil take on classic Marvel and DC superhero titles like Spider-Man, Fantastic Four and Superman, for example. Rather than going the Alex Ross route and painting comic book stories, the artist is using a photorealistic style to convey the experience of reading a vintage copy of an iconic title. Browsing Moody’s gallery will leave you feeling like you’ve been staring at quality photographs, which is a welcome deception.
